Piano Guts Workshop

Did you know that there are over 100 parts in one single piano key?! How does the piano technician know which order the piano keys go in? Why does my piano key "pop" if I press it very slowly? Do I really need to have my piano tuned 2x a year?

There are so many questions that we all have about the piano and now is the time to have those questions answered. Lochwood's piano tuner and technician will be here on Saturday, October 22, 2016, to give participants a hands-on view of the inner-workings of the piano. Students will come away filled with an understanding of the history of the modern piano, a hands-on demonstration of the action-model as well as a Q & A time where you are welcome to ask all your burning piano insides questions but were afraid to ask. The Piano Guts information packet that each participant will receive is filled with puzzles, games, reading material and other goodies about the piano.

The workshop is open to both student and adult, no matter what instrument you play. What's that? You don't play an instrument but are interested in this class? Come on! We would love to have you here. We are all on this life-long journey of learning about the arts.

Lochwood Academy Families, this workshop is a free bonus to you! You should have received an email with the Bonus Code.

Registration is $10 per registrant.
