+What days are Lochwood open for classes?

We are open Monday-Saturday. Saturdays are available for Guitar, Voice, & Piano.

+Where are you located?

+How much is tuition?

Tuition is between $160-$291/month depending on the length of lessons and the Artistry level you take.

+Do I need to pay for the entire year upfront?

No! But we offer pay-in-full promotions.

+Do you offer discounts?

Yes, if you have three or more children in private lessons. This does not apply to the AMB Artistry Program. You can choose to pay automatically by ACH (bank to bank) to receieve $5 off each monthly installment.

+How much is the Annual Registration fee?

The Registration fee is an annual non-refundable fee of $55 for each student. We will not be able to schedule your lessons until we receive this fee.

+What are the tuition benefits?

Benefits are based on the program level chosen. Weekly lessons (during scheduled Lochwood calendar year), all music books, 2 academy-wide recitals, monthly Saturday recitals, ensemble opportunities, awards & incentives, discounts on private intensive lessons ½ day or full day), discounts on workshops & masterclasses, T-Shirt, a bag, access to your own TeacherZone account and printed learning resources! All this and so much more!

+What age can students start?

At Lochwood we recommend a child is able to read words, or at least is working on reading prior to starting private lessons.

+Do you offer Group Classes?

Yes! At ths moment we offer Piano, Tiny Thespians, Drama I & II, Musical Theatre I & II, & Guitar Ensemble Class. More classes are always added, so check back regulargly for more information.

+Do you offer recitals?

Yes! As a part of the benefits of the tuition, we offer two studio-wide recitals at the end of each semester (Winter & Spring), 4 small and informal Monthly recitals as well as the Showcase Concert. Group classes have a total of 3 performances (1 at the end of each semester and the Showcase Concert).

+What is your teaching curriculum?

Each student is different, and we create a curriculum based on goals, learning styles and natural abilities. Each student has creativity-based projects, techniques, performance pieces, reading pieces and theory, regardless of the instrument.

+What is your withdrawal process?

Just let us know before the first of the next month! However, if the student withdraws from lessons before the end of 3 months, all lessons taken will be reverted to “pay-as-you-take” lessons and any remaining balance will be invoiced and due upon receipt.

+Do you offer make-up lesson?

We do not guarantee any make-up lessons. Tuition includes teacher experience, credentials, studio benefits, and far more than simply a block of time.
If you are not able to attend your lesson, we do offer two options.
1) A virtual zoom lesson at the same time as your scheduled lesson. or
2) Student submits a video of them performing their previous lesson pieces and the teacher will send a video back with comments.
All options must go through the office.

+Do you offer “no-cost” trial lessons?

Trial students receive the same experience from highly qualified teachers as registered students. Trial lessons are $40 and will be applied to the first month’s payment upon registration.

+Do you have an automatic payment plan?

We absolutely do. You can choose to pay automatically by either ACH (bank to bank) or by Credit Card. No personal payment information is kept here on site. All automatic payments are handled through TeacherZone.
